Thank you for taking this survey related to Community Engagement activities that you are involved with.
This year's survey is particularly important as the information you share will be used to complete the University's Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement application that is due next in 2026, but will be based on activities during the 2022-2023 academic year as well as overall improvements we will cite from our last classification in 2015.
As you will see, the survey will ask about activities that are voluntary in nature or relate to your professional role. If at any time you have questions about the survey, please contact julie.cohen@scranton.edu.
Survey Definitions:
“Volunteer” Activities: Unpaid activity to benefit others (individuals, community organizations, religious groups, etc.).
Other “Service” or "Community Engagement" Activities: relates to community-based learning, research, or other engagement activities that connect in some way to your role/job at the University.
“Community” refers to both Northeastern Pennsylvania and global service related activities.
