MISBO 2027 Facilities/Auxiliary Conference
February 7-9, 2027 | Knoxville, TN

Thank you for your interest in presenting a breakout session at MISBO’s 2027 Facilities/Auxiliary Conference. We invite experienced professionals and thought leaders to share insights, strategies, and innovative ideas that support the work of independent school business and operations leaders. We encourage proposals that include school-based presenters and practical case studies from independent schools of all sizes.

Conference Audience
Breakout sessions should be designed for professionals responsible for facilities, operations, and auxiliary programs in independent schools, including:

Facilities Directors and Managers
Auxiliary Programs Directors
Operations Leaders
Business and Operations Officers
Campus Safety and Security Professionals
Maintenance and Grounds Supervisors
Other school leaders responsible for campus operations

Suggested Topic Areas
Based on feedback from previous attendees, we are particularly interested in proposals addressing the following topics.

Facilities
Campus master planning and capital project management
Facilities' technology and operational efficiency
AI, automation, and emerging technologies in facilities management
Facilities leadership, team culture, and cross-functional collaboration
Staffing, safety, transportation, and other operational challenges
Case studies or moderated roundtable discussions on real-world facilities issues

Auxiliary Programs
Summer camp operations, staffing, and program development
Revenue generation and innovative auxiliary program ideas
Marketing and enrollment strategies for camps and auxiliary programs
Technology and operational tools that support auxiliary services
Leadership and management of auxiliary teams
Case studies or roundtable discussions on successful auxiliary initiatives
