Experimenta Make Sense: International Triennial of Media Art launches on the 2nd of October and we’re looking for a team of enthusiastic volunteers to take part.
Experimenta is Australia’s leading organisation dedicated to the production, promotion and presentation of Australian contemporary media art. Experimenta is committed to growing audiences for Australian media art by providing exhibition and development opportunities for Australian artists. Our major exhibitions take place every 2-3 years, launching in Melbourne and then touring around the country.
Experimenta Make Sense, our first Triennial, expresses the disconcerting and delightful world of the digital age. Both playful and challenging, this exhibition asks audiences to immerse their senses into a ‘thinking,’ ‘feeling’ and ‘doing’ contemplation of what it is to be human in the age of technological acceleration. It will be shown at RMIT Gallery from the 2nd October – 11 November, with satellite programs around Melbourne.
We are looking for people to help in a range of ways including supporting our events and public programs, gallery volunteers and invigilators, supporting our artists, and providing assistance in the Experimenta office on a range of admin, marketing and comms tasks.
We will very gratefully acknowledge our vollies’ support with event tickets, letters of recommendation, and mentoring opportunities.
Submit your application by Friday 22 September and we will be in touch very shortly after.
