14% of survey complete.

The purpose of this survey is to gauge awareness, implementation and compliance to Canada’s standard of animal care, the Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Equines.

This survey is for all those involved in the care of equines. Whether you are a horse owner, custodian, equine business operator / owner or staff we would like your feedback.

Survey launch date: 15 MAR 2017
Survey close date: 31 OCT 2017
Status: Open

This survey is a precursor to the development of an animal care assessment program for equine that will follow the Animal Care Assessment Framework (ACAF) developed through the National Farm Animal Care Council. In order to build an assessment project we need to learn more respecting the real circulation, acceptance and use of the Code by equine sector participants.

You may choose to download or print the full copy of the equine Code to review before providing feedback.

In order to gauge the true state of awareness, implementation and compliance to the equine Code we ask that you select the response that best fits your situation. All responses are anonymous and will be held in strict confidence.

Once the survey closes, the working group will review results and develop a report that will include next steps to building the Animal Care Assessment Framework.

Thank you for participating in this survey.
