The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists does not have the statutory or legal authority to investigate complaints it receives about its members.
Instead, it refers such matters to the relevant statutory body such as the relevant medical board or council which has been established to protect the community as well as both guide and govern the medical profession including its practitioners.
To make a complaint or express your concerns regarding a psychiatrist, contact the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency on 1300 419 495 for general enquiries and registrant queries or go to www.ahpra.gov.au (Australia) or Health and Disability Commissioner (NZ) on National Freephone on 0800 11 22 33 or go to www.hdc.org.nz (New Zealand)
If you wish to make a general enquiry then please complete the following form. Your enquiry will be directed to the appropriate parties based on the category you select.
