Homelessness is a complex issue. The City, along with its numerous partners, is doing its part to ensure that homelessness is addressed for the benefit of the City’s residents and the community.

The Homeless Encampment Reporting form allows community members or city staff to report the presence of an encampment within Newark city limits. Your submission of information is valued as it aids in identifying locations where individuals may be impeding public access and assisting those in need by connecting them with resources. Upon submission, a city staff member will investigate and take appropriate action.

*If multiple submissions are made for the same location, staff will add any new information to the original submission.
***NOTICE BEFORE YOU CONTINUE***

You are reporting an encampment that is not located on the City of Newark’s public right-of-way, such as freeways, on/off ramps, railroad tracks, or crossings. Please be aware that the City of Newark is not responsible for cleaning or removing encampments in these areas but will review your submission. We encourage you to report the encampment directly to the appropriate agency to expedite removal.

Use the provided map to identify the correct agency to submit your report.
