Emergency Streets Pilot Program and Traffic Safety Survey

The City of Spokane Emergency Streets Pilot Program is a rapid-response traffic calming response to fatal traffic crashes. Selected fatal crash sites are treated with traffic calming equipment, including pink signage, cones, and roadway stenciling, within 48-72 hours of a fatal crash. These treatments remain at the fatal crash site for 2 weeks. Learn more about the program.
