Application Survey

Thank you for filling in the survey for the sex worker relief fund 2021. This is being administered by Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association, with oversight by state and territory based sex worker organisations from donations we received at

This emergency fund will continue to accept applications for support where COVID-19 restrictions impact sex workers’ ability to work. Currently, the fund is only accepting applications from sex workers in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

We are aware that some other states are subject to short lockdowns, and we will monitor the situation closely and open the fundraiser to applicants from other states if the lockdowns are extended in those states.

This relief fund runs on good will and donations, and is administered by sex worker organisation staff and volunteers from around the country. All money donated goes directly to sex workers in need.

Our ability to provide emergency support is limited to the amount that we receive in donations. It is likely that the need will surpass the amount we receive in donations. Applications can be for $100 or $150. We know that this is not enough, it is aimed to provide some support to those slipping through the cracks of government relief. We urge you to consider all the options available to you in addition to this application.

Payments are processed once a week, so we unfortunately can’t provide immediate funds. If you are successful in your application, the payment will be transferred from Scarlet Alliance to your bank account on the next Thursday. If you apply on a Wednesday or a Thursday, your application will not be processed until the following week. If you are selected to receive a payment, you must be able to be contacted on Wednesday or Thursday of the week your application is assessed to have your sex work status verified. If we cannot verify you by 4pm on that Thursday, you will not receive a payment, and will need to re-apply the following week if you are still in need.

This information is not being used for any other purpose than to determine your eligibility for the fund. The more information you give us, the better we can assess your application.

If you require immediate crisis support please contact your state or territory based sex worker organisation for referrals.  You can find the contact details for your sex worker organisation here:
