Application Survey

Thank you for filling in the survey for the sex worker relief fund 2020. This is being administered by Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association, with oversight by state and territory based sex worker organisations from donations we are receiving at:

As sex workers in each state and territory begin to return to work, the emergency fund will continue to accept applications for support until COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted across the country. Going forward the fund will primarily focus on supporting sex workers who have not yet been able to return to work, particularly where COVID-19 restrictions remain in place.

This relief fund is being run mainly on good-will and from donations, and administered by sex worker organisation staff and volunteers from around the country. All money donated goes directly to sex workers in need.

Our ability to provide emergency support is limited to the amount that we receive in donations. It is likely that the need will surpass the amount we receive in donations. Applications can be for $100, $200 or $300. We know that this is not enough, it is aimed to provide some support to those slipping through the cracks of government relief. We urge you to consider all the options available to you before you make this application.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide funds in a hurry. If you are successful in your application, the payment will be transferred from Scarlet Alliance to your bank account on the next Thursday business day. If you are applying on a Wednesday or a Thursday your application will not be processed until next week.

This information is not being kept or stored. The questions are to assist in determining your eligibility for the fund. The more information you give us, the better we can assess your application.

If you require immediate crisis support please contact your state or territory based sex worker organisation for referrals.  You can find the contact details for your sex worker organisation here:
