Kristy Umana FNP-C
- Kristy graduated with her MSN/FNP from Ball State University in 2013. She graduated with her BSN from Ball State University in 1994, and her Associates Degree in Nursing from Kettering College of Medical Arts in 1984. She has experience as an APRN in Cardiology, Family Practice and Diabetes/Endocrinology as well as a previous Certification as a Diabetes Educator.
She is currently practicing full time at Ascension Health in an outpatient Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic in Fishers, Indiana. In her spare time, she volunteers as a clinical provider at Gennesaret Free Health Care Clinic.
Kristy previously served on the CAPNI board while a student as the Student Representative. She then served 2 terms on the Executive Board as Treasurer. Kristy is currently in her 2nd term as the CAPNI Vice President. She also chairs the Marketing and Membership Committee, and is a member of the Legislative Committee, Grass Roots Committee and CAPNI annual conference volunteer.
In addition, Kristy is the AANP Indiana State Representative. She also serves as speaker at AANP conferences on the topic of Diabetes.
Kristy is married and has 4 grown children and 1 grandchild and enjoys spending time with her family in addition to traveling during her leisure time.

Vice President
Caitlin Krouse DNP, FNP-BC, RN
- Caitlin Krouse has been serving as CAPNI's Health Policy Director for the past 3 years, advocating for increased access to high-quality healthcare provided by APRNs. Prior to that, Caitlin was active on CAPNI's Legislative and Grassroots Committees. She is an Associate Professor for the University of Saint Francis teaching in the Graduate Nursing Program. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she volunteers weekly at Matthew 25 Health & Care as a primary care provider for uninsured patients who live in poverty. Caitlin serves on the Board of Directors for Alliance Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center for underserved patients. She is a founding member of the Indiana Coalition for Patient-Centered Care, an interprofessional coalition working to ensure a patient-centered healthcare system. She is completing her post-graduate certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to increase the scope of services she can provide vulnerable patients.
Caitlyn Perkins DNP, FNP-BC, CCRN
- Dr. Caitlyn Perkins is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), who has served in different areas of nursing specialty over the last 4+ years. She has clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing, cardiovascular critical care, and trauma/ neuro critical care. She currently serves the greater Lafayette, Indiana area as a pain management nurse practitioner.
Dr. Perkins graduated in 2018 from Indiana University- Kokomo with her BS in Nursing including a minor in Spanish. More recently, Dr. Perkins added letters to her name as she graduated from Purdue University- West Lafayette with her DNP-FNP (2022). Her mission is to attain quality care for all Indiana residents. In efforts to attain her mission, she has dedicated her free time to serve CAPNI as the student nurse practitioner board member (2021-2022) and implemented positive change sitting on various committees (Grassroots, On-Boarding, and Social Media Committees). When she is not serving our CAPNI community, you will find her adventuring with her husband, Dustin, and puppy, Khaleesi-Lou!

Treasurer
Gena Lyell DNP, APRN, FNP-C-
Gena has been a Registered Nurse since 1989 and a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2004. She is very active in both the CAPNI Grassroots and Legislative Committees. She currently serves as the CAPNI Region Representative for Region 9. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member in the FNP program at Spalding University. She recently retired from her busy primary care practice in Corydon to spend more time with her grandchildren and is looking forward to finding new ways to use her education and experience.

Darla Gowan DNP, FNP-BC-
Darla is the Assistant Dean of NP Programs Indiana Wesleyan. She is the current chair of CAPNI On-boarding committee and past Region 7 Representative. Darla is a FNP at IU University Outpatient Clinic.

Shawna Reed FNP, PMHNP-
Shawna is a psychiatric nurse practitioner currently at Porter Starke Services, Inc. She has been certified as a family nurse practitioner since 2016 and as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner since 2018. She has a passion for CAPNI and moving toward full practice authority.

Ashley Delanious PMHNP- BC -
Ashley is working in an outpatient medication management setting. She completed her first term as Region 3 CAPNI representative. Ashley is on the bi-laws committee and most recently helped plan the Fall Conference. She is currently co-chairing the CAPNI Annual Spring Conference.

Susan Conn FNP
- Susan is a FNP who has been working in our community since her graduation in 2016. She is a member of CAPNI and is active in the region. She precepts students and is on the Advisory Board of her institution. She is passionate about the profession and will guest speak about her experiences when requested. She will do a wonderful job of leading this region with the support of our wonderful members.

Kristen Osburn Hall MSN, APRN, FNP-C
- Kristen has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2016. She earned both her BSN and MSN from Indiana University. Kristen has Nurse Practitioner experience in Family Practice as well as Urgent Care. At present, Ms. Hall practices with Marathon Health providing employer based primary care in the greater Indianapolis area. Currently, Kristen serves on the Grassroots Committee and is Chair of the Membership, Marketing, and Retention Committee. She was honored to be the 2020 Marcia Plant Jackson scholarship recipient, attending the AANP Health Policy Conference in Washington, DC. Ms. Hall has a passion for educating the next generation of APRNs, constantly serving as clinical preceptor, and was appointed as adjunct clinical faculty in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program at Indiana University this fall. Kristen also believes APRNs should have a seat at the health policy table. It is her desire as Region 7 Representative to continue rally central Indiana APRNs toward continued excellence and advancing the profession. Kristen resides in Indianapolis and is married to Gary Hall. She is the proud Tante (German for Aunt) to Ezra, Zosia, Duncan, and Cameron.

Sarah Cooper DNP, FNP
- Sarah has been working as a nurse practitioner since 2006. She has worked in the emergency room, internal medicine, college health, and for the past 5 years in family practice. She is certified with AANP and has been a member of CAPNI for many years. She received her BSN, Masters of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. She resides in Yorktown with her husband of 25 years and 2 teenage boys. She currently works in Anderson, IN with Ascension health.
