EMF-ECBC ENERGY EFFICIENT MORTGAGES INITIATIVE

The aim of this survey, which forms part of the initiative undertaken by the EMF-ECBC to create a pan-European Energy Efficient Mortgage, is to gather market information and stakeholder input on past/existing ‘green’ mortgage funding instruments in order to better understand the energy efficiency funding and 'green' finance market.
The feedback collected will be analysed by the Project’s Committees in order to identify best market practices and an appropriate market benchmark which can serve as a building block on which the definition of an Energy Efficient Mortgage can be build going forward.
The survey is divided into six different sections under the following headlines:
- Part 0 – Introduction
- Part I – Origination Process and Green Features
- Part II – Risk management / Data and Valuation
- Part III – Energy Efficiency Measurement & Internal Procedures
- Part IV – Green Rating Agencies & Bonds
- Part V – Green Investments
- Part VI – Confidentiality of Information
Depending on whether or not your organisation issues 'green' mortgages/has experience of 'green' lending, not all sections will necessarily be relevant to you. With this in mind, where possible, the questionnaire has been designed to navigate automatically according to your response. However, we would invite you to consider each section regardless of this, as all information/experience is considered relevant for the purposes of the project.
