NLC President Matt Zone launched the Economic Mobility and Opportunity Task Force when he took office in November to pursue a three-pronged strategy over the next year that will include municipal engagement and peer learning, documentation of promising and emerging city approaches, and education and training for city officials.

President Zone has issued a challenge asking every city to take action to increase economic mobility and opportunity for their residents in 2017. Pledge now to take action in your community and commit to implementing at least one policy or program.

* 1. Which action(s) do you plan to take in your city?

* 2. Please let us know your name so we can count you among those who rose to this challenge!

* 3. Please add the name of a staff member who will support your leadership throughout this challenge.

Thank you for taking the pledge! NLC Staff will be available to help you carry out this challenge in your city.  For more information and to download a copy of the resource guide for each action, go to www.nlc.org/econmobilitychallenge.
