Dear e-commerce stakeholders and partners,

UNCTAD is proud to partner with the Trade Development Division, Ministry of Tourism, Trade, Commerce to carry out an eTrade Readiness Assessment (aka e.T.Ready) over the period February-March 2018.

The e.T.Ready for Vanuatu will help identify e-commerce capacity assets and gaps, bottlenecks, opportunities, and will provide an action-oriented matrix to help decision-makers and development partners address the challenges and take advantage of opportunities. e.T.Ready assessments have already been completed in Bhutan, Cambodia, Liberia, Lao PDR, Myanmar Nepal, and Samoa.

The eTrade for All Initiative partners include international organizations, regional development banks as well as national agencies. To ensure effective public-private dialogue, eTrade for All works in close partnership with the Business for eTrade Development Council, established and managed independently by the private sector.[1]

The e.T.Ready for Vanuatu will focus on seven policy areas of particular relevance to e-commerce development: e-commerce readiness assessments and strategy formulation; ICT infrastructure and services; trade logistics and trade facilitation; payment solutions; legal and regulatory frameworks; e-commerce skills development and access to financing.

The survey should not take more than 15 minutes of your time. We encourage you to provide candid answers. Your answers will help UNCTAD customize its on-site interviews and focus-group discussions planned for March 26-30, 2018 in Port Vila. The survey will remain open until April 15 2018, COB Port Vila.

All data will be treated confidentially and presented only in aggregate form. The information generated as part of this activity will be collated by eTrade for All strictly for the purpose of gaining a better understanding of the needs for technical and financial assistance in area of direct relevance to strengthening the e-commerce readiness of Vanuatu.

We thank you very much, in advance, for your participation.
