Dynasty Next Gen Coaches EOI
Volleyball NZ are seeking out interest from ambitious and quality coaches to be a part of the Dynasty Next Gen Coaching group.
This is a great opportunity to be involved in one of the fastest growing sports in New Zealand and help shape the national programme for aspiring volleyball players in the youth age group.
The Dynasty Next Gen Programme
The Dynasty Next Gen Programme is the end result of the positive changes Volleyball NZ has made to its Youth programme. The programme is targeted for all aspiring youth volleyball players looking to compete at the next level. Replacing the former programme (where travel and competition was at the forefront), the programme will now provide athletes with both training and competitive opportunities albeit more inclusive and subsequently lower costs.
The programme will be delivered over four phases/camps using these approximate timings:
Four Zonal Beach camps in October 2021 school holidays (no conflict with club nationals)
National Beach Camp in January 2022
Four Zonal Indoor Camps in April 2022 school holidays
National Indoor Camp in July 2022 school holidays
Zonal camps will be run over a two day period similar to current development camps. National camps will be 2-4 days with the intention of a live in based environment. Both camps will provide competitive opportunities.
Athletes will be self registered and will have the choice of attending any camp they wish. However it is advised that athletes attend all camps wherever possible to maximize their development, as well as their connection to the programme, the coaches and their peers
Dynasty Next Gen Coaching Group
Volleyball New Zealand are seeking 4-6 coaches to form the Dynasty Next Gen Coaching Group. These coaches will have input into multiple aspects of the programme which include:
Assist with design of camp structure
Assist with planning of sessions/camps
Identification and evaluation of athletes
Delivery and/or lead as a coach in both their zonal and national camp (approx. dates provided)
Coaches should also be aligned with the three pillars of the youth programme:
Fun - the athletes and coaches have an enjoyable experience
Connection - athletes and coaches gain a connection to the Volleyball NZ pathway
Growth - athletes and coaches commit to developing themselves through the programme and beyond, bringing the right mindset of learning to all camps

Please Note: There will be a need for additional coaches in the delivery of the Dynasty Next Gen Camps and will be contacted prior to the camps. It is encouraged that coaches have experience in both beach and indoor volleyball, however, it is not essential.
