Established in 2020, DSFP serves a 43-block area covering the Financial District and Jackson Square, funded by $4.8M in annual property assessments, along with leveraged funds from grants and sponsorships. DSFP began with a focus on sidewalk cleaning, pressure washing, graffiti removal, and uniformed public safety ambassadors. In response to stakeholder needs post-pandemic, DSFP has since expanded to focus on public space activations, design and management of plazas, popular events like Let’s Glow SF and the Front Street Entertainment Zone, and economic development to support ground floor activity. DSFP is looking to increase its programs and services, along with a potential expansion of district boundaries, including Embarcadero Park.
