Dorchester Community Needs Assessment

We would like to invite you to provide your input about the community needs in Dorchester. This survey is being conducted and is intended to help the Village board understand the diverse needs of the Dorchester Community. Hard copies of the survey are available at and may be returned to the Dorchester Village office.

The Village of Dorchester continues to grow and change, and so do the needs of the community. As facilities and infrastructure age the Village Board needs to prioritize the needed improvements with the limited financial resources available. The Village Board currently is looking costly repairs to the community center, capacity and building condition concerns at the Fire Station, as well as aged water, sewer, and street infrastructure.

Improvements to existing housing stock.

Street and storm sewer improvements; including condition of street and storm water management.

Develop a new community center building.
