European Survey on Digitalisation in the Sport Sector

Dear Colleague,

This survey examines the use of digital tools and technologies in sport organisations, their impact on the functioning of organisations, and the implications for skills, training and workforce development. It is part of an EU-funded TechSportKit project (led by the European Association of Sport Employers - EASE)

In this survey, “digital tools and technologies” refers to any software or digital system used to support your organisation’s activities, such as administration, communication, sport operations, coaching, events, or data management. This includes both basic tools (e.g. email or spreadsheets) and more advanced solutions (e.g. specialised systems or AI tools).

Your participation is essential to help us better understand how digitalisation is transforming the sport sector and its workforce across Europe.

WHY YOUR CONTRIBUTION MATTERS

Through this survey, we aim to better understand:
  • How sport organisations perceive and use digital tools and technologies
  • The benefits, opportunities and challenges associated with digitalisation
  • The digital skills needs and training priorities across the sector.
Your responses will contribute to the development of evidence-based recommendations, training initiatives and policy actions to strengthen the sport workforce (paid staff and volunteers) and support sport organisations in their digital transition.

The questionnaire takes approximately 12 minutes to complete and mainly consists of tick-box questions.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION

Your responses will be treated confidentially and analysed anonymously. Results will only be presented in aggregated form and will not allow the identification of individual organisations or respondents.

All data will be handled securely and in compliance with GDPR regulations.

If you choose to share your contact details at the end of the survey, they will only be used to share the results of the study or contact you regarding potential good practices, case studies or relevant future project activities.
