The Huron River Water Trail is a 104-mile inland paddling trail connecting people to the river's natural environment, its history, and the communities it touches.  From the rapids at Delhi and Dexter to the placid flat water at the entrance to Lake Erie, a variety of paddling experiences are available.

Dexter is one of the five largest communities along the Huron River working with the Huron River Watershed Council (HRWC) as part of the Trail Town project.  the City of Dexter is working with the HRWC on a Strategic Trail Town Plan to plan for the development of amenities that support trail users such as parks, places for putting in watercraft, and riverside boat storage.  (Excerpt taken from HRWC website)
