The city of DeWitt is updating its Master Plan - a public document that is designed to coordinate land use planning and development for the city (not including the Township). By state statute, the Planning Commission is the preparer, guardian, and enforcer of the Master Plan. Your responses will help the DeWitt City Council and Planning Commission determine how the city should develop over the next 10 years. The final Master Plan will be a reflection of community input, best planning and development practices, and analysis of the best available data.

LAND USE = a reference to the manner and intensity that land is developed. The range of land uses addressed in the master plan spans natural areas, agriculture, residential, commercial, recreational, infrastructure, and industrial uses of land (i.e. roads, water/sewer, parks and access to natural space, subdivision development, the downtown).
