Development Review Baseline Survey

The Seattle Department of Transportation's new Development Review Program provides comprehensive early design guidance to better integrate private development and the city's right-of-way priorities. We want to improve service through consistent direction, a single SDOT contact throughout the Master Use Permit (MUP) process, and relevant, up-to-date information on SDOT rules, plans, and policies.

Over the last year, we've revised the Preliminary Assessment Report (PAR), attended Early Design Guidance pre-submittal conferences, and coordinated with the design review board. In the second phase, SDOT staff will follow the project through the remaining Master Use Permit phases, including SEPA analysis and MUP approval.

This survey will help us evaluate our progress to date and improve it moving forward. Thanks for the help!

* 1. How useful is the information currently provided by SDOT in the Preliminary Assessment Report (PAR)?

* 2. How useful is the information provided by SDOT in the Early Design Guidance pre-submittal conferences?

* 3. How prepared are SDOT staff for the Early Design Guidance pre-submittal conferences?

* 4. How satisfied are you with SDOT’s responsiveness to inquiries outside the PAR and pre-submittal conferences?

* 5. Do you feel the Preliminary Assessment Report (PAR) and Early Design Guidance pre-submittal conference are well integrated with the Street Improvement Permit (SIP) process?

* 6. Do you have any suggestions for how SDOT can better serve applicants?

* 7. Do you feel the program offers value for your projects?

* 8. Are there items you would like guidance on that aren’t covered in the Early Design Guidance process?

* 9. Are there superfluous items in the PAR that are not useful to your development concerns?
