A Tourism Spatial Plan

Ekistics Planning and Design has just embarked on a new tourism/community spatial planning process for Borden-Carleton. The plan, called Destination Borden-Carleton, aims to set out a clear path for the future of tourism planning, community design, and economic vitality. The resulting plan will provide tangible steps for achieving the goal of making Borden-Carleton a premier tourism destination, and solidifying its presence as a welcoming gateway community to the Province. Emphasis will be placed on visitor capture/retention, arrival celebration, community events planning, wayfinding and signage, improving existing facilities, adding new businesses, expansion of under-utilized lands like the fabrication yard and schoolyard, waterfront development, and the creation of destination brand.
