DePaving A Greener Denver

Denver’s Division of Green Infrastructure (DGI) would like to know more about how pavement and concrete affect your life.

Over 50% of Denver’s surface area is covered by pavement, concrete, and other hard materials like roads, sidewalks, patios, roofs, and parking areas. These surfaces—known collectively as “impervious cover"—prevent water from being absorbed into the ground, and worsen problems like, extreme heat, poor watershed health, and flooding.

The amount of pavement in Denver is growing by almost 1% each year, so our team is working with Denverites, community-based organizations, and other city agencies to develop solutions and strategies that help us better understand and interrupt this pattern. We're calling this initiative: dePaving a Greener Denver!

This short survey contains about 10 multiple-choice/selection questions and will likely take 7 minutes to complete.

Thank you for participating; your feedback is important!

1.In your opinion, is excess pavement and lack of tree canopy a problem in your neighborhood?
2.Do you primarily live and/or work in the city of Denver?
3.Which neighborhood in Denver do you primarily live or work in?
(Please choose one from the alphabetical list. If your neighborhood is not listed or if you do not live/work in Denver, please select "Other" and specify your neighborhood or city into the comment box.)
