Welcome to Cedar Wood's 2017 Cultural Night

Please join us November 9th from 6-8pm for our school-wide cultural celebration, which will be an evening of sharing and learning about the variety of backgrounds that make up our school's diverse community.

Cedar Wood families will host booths representing about 25 countries from all over the world in the school gym. Upon arrival that night, participants will be given a Cultural Night passport in which they can collect stamps from each booth throughout the event. At the end of the evening, students who have collected stamps from each booth will be able to fill out a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Kindle Fire!

Families are encouraged to bring a dish from their own culture to share that evening. Pot luck food tables will be set up in the cafeteria for everyone to sample the variety of dishes. If you bring an item, please fill out a recipe card (copies available that night) which will show the name of the dish, the ethnic or regional background it is from, and all ingredients.

We also invite you to wear traditional clothing representing your family's culture.

Because this event was very popular last year, we would like to get an estimate of how many families plan to attend. We appreciate you letting us know if you plan to be there and if you will bring food to share.

Don't miss this fantastic celebration of our school community!
We hope to see you there.
