The automotive repair and service industry has a lot of challenges these days. Cars are better built and aren’t breaking down like they used to. Carmakers are extending service intervals in order to drive cost-of-ownership down, and that means fewer visits from customers. And technology advances ever forward, which brings a constant need for additional tools and training.
There's not a lot we can do about those things. They’re a fact of life.
But there are other issues that maybe we can tackle as an industry. First, however, we have to identify what we’d like to change if we could.
