Credit River Rural Alliance |
Above is the portion of the Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use map covering North Credit River. The plan and map calls for increasing the number of homes in North Credit River from 800 today to eventually 5,400; a seven-fold increase. With this growth could come 50,000 more trips/day on our roads, another 2,000 students attending area schools, and a massive increase in Credit River stormwater pollution.
We are not opposed to some growth and welcome new neighbors. We are concerned that the Comprehensive Plan and existing Credit River development laws are inadequate to accommodate such a tremendous growth increase while preserving the many things that make North Credit River a great place to live.
Please add your name and contact information below to join with us in urging the City Council to amend the plan and land use map to scale back growth to a more reasonable level while enacting the laws needed to keep our schools great, our roads safe, and the Credit River clean.
