CQUniversity Mascot Naming Competition

Name our new CQUniversity Mascot!

We need your help to name our new CQUniversity Mascot!

The Pale-Headed Rosella features on the CQUniversity Crest and represents students, staff and alumni from around Australia.

The name will be announced at the Northern University Games Welcome Ceremony on Sunday 2 July, between 4pm and 8pm. This event is open to the community and will take place on the CQUniversity Rockhampton North sports fields. Food, beverages and amusements will be available by CQ Eat Street and we are honoured to have special guest speaker Ms Anna Meares OAM deliver an inspiring speech.

Entries close midnight Thursday 29 June 2017.

Entries open to the general public.

The winning entry will receive a CQUniversity merchandise pack.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
The purpose of the competition is to name the CQUniversity Mascot.
1.    The Promoter is CQUniversity Australia, Bruce Highway, North Rockhampton QLD 4702.
2.    The competition will open 10:00am QLD time Monday 26 June 2017 and closes midnight QLD time Thursday 29 June 2017.
3.    The competition prize pool consists of:
          a.    CQUni logo prize pack (water bottle, hat, and bag) as well as a $100 bookshop voucher.
       b.    The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The promoter reserves the right to change the prize to one of the same or equal value at any time if the prize becomes unavailable.
          c.    All prize values are referenced at the recommended retail in Australian dollars, are inclusive of GST and are correct at the time of printing.

4.    Entries are to be made via this entry form. To enter, you must complete all entry form fields.
5.    CQUniversity Australia may terminate this competition at any time at its absolute discretion without liability to any contestant or other person.
6.    If the winner of the prize is under the age of 18 years, that prize may, at the absolute discretion of CQUniversity, be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
7.    The winner will be selected on Friday 30 June 2017 after the competition closes and will be announced on Sunday 2 July 2017 at the Northern University Games Welcome Ceremony between 4:00pm and 8:00pm QLD time at CQUniversity Australia, Bruce Highway, North Rockhampton QLD 4702.
8.    In the instance of a mascot name with multiple entries, the entrant who entered the name first will be given ownership of the suggested name and entry.
9.    The panel’s decision is final and no exceptions will be made.
10. The winner will be notified by phone and/ or email. If the winner cannot take the prize as stipulated or if the prize is unclaimed, the entry is deemed invalid and the promoter reserves the right to award the prize to the next valid entry. In the event of a dispute of the identity of the drawn winner, the winner will be the person named in the entry.
11. The prize remains the property of the promoter until claimed by the winner. The promoter may conduct further draws as are necessary in order to distribute any unclaimed prizes.
12. The promoter reserved the right to verify the validity of entries and the identification of entrants. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions of entry.
13. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained relating to the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

14. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading of any materials in this promotion.
15. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
16. The personal information supplied by entrants when entering this competition will be used by CQUniversity Australia to conduct the contest and to contact entrants if they are a winner. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information as entry in this contest is an agreement to be bound by that policy. If details are removed prior to the conclusion of the competition and/or award of the prize, entrants will forfeit their right to claim any prizes.
17. CQUniversity reserves the right to decide the winning name for the Mascot.
18. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be contacted by CQUniversity Australia staff and participate in public activities as reasonably requested. Including being interviewed and photographed for use in marketing and promotional materials without payment or compensation.
19. Entries which are incomplete, incorrect, offensive, non-serious are not eligible to win.
