My name is Wendy Romney and I am a physical therapist and a faculty member in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science at Sacred Heart University.
I am conducting a research study entitled: Barriers, Facilitators, Knowledge and Use of the Core Outcome Measure Clinical Practice Guideline. The purpose of the study is to describe the current knowledge, use, barriers and facilitators to using to the Core Set of Outcome Measures Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) recently published in the Journal of Neurologic Physical Therapy by Moore et al, 2018.
If you agree to participate, you will be asked a series of questions to help us understand your knowledge, use and any factors that influence your use of the Core Set of Outcome Measures CPG. Knowledge gained from this study will be used to develop materials to support use of the CPG. These questions pertain to your demographic data, knowledge and use of the CPG as well as barriers to using the CPG. The questionnaire will take less than 15 minutes to complete.
Your participation of the study does not involve any risks to you beyond everyday life. You are not likely to have any direct benefit from being in this research study, although it may help you view outcome measurement in a new or different way, which could positively impact your clinical practice. Taking part in this study may help researchers to better understand the need for, as well as barriers and challenges to, the use of outcome measurement in PT practice. This survey is anonymous. Data will be analyzed using a unique ID number, and your name will not be associated with your responses. You will complete the questionnaire online via Survey Monkey.
