Confronting the Issue of Suicide Registration Page

This 1-hour introductory online course will assist first responders, their family members, and clinicians in becoming familiar with the current statistics and research on the issue of suicide, its prevalence among first responders, and how to assess, intervene, and refer someone for help who is struggling with suicidal thoughts. A certificate of completion will be provided for each registrant upon completion of the course and the course evaluation.

Michigan police officers will be asked to provide their MCOLES number for training credit. Other emergency service professions and personnel from other states may qualify for training credit for this course (check with your department or agency).
