Are you a high school student living in the San Diego community? Has the thought of pursuing a higher education been on your mind? Are you interested in visiting college campuses? If so, we at UC San Diego’s Student Promoted Access Center for Education and Service (SPACES) would like to invite you to join our second annual Student-Initiated Access Programs and Services (SIAPS) College Tour! Over two days, we will be visiting several college campuses, including UC’s, CSU’s, and private colleges in Southern California. Sight-seeing activities, academic workshops and group building activities will be included as well to ensure a fun, exciting and, informational time! This tour is completely free of charge, and provided by UCSD SPACES all at no cost to you. Interested? Filling out this application will bring you one step closer in joining us on our tour!

Application deadline is January 29th, 2013 at 11:59 pm.
We will continue to accept applications after this date, but cannot guarantee that your application will be considered for review.

Please note that filling out this application does not guarantee you will be accepted as a participant. All applications will be reviewed and applicants will be notified via e-mail by the first week of February.

If you are accepted as a participant, you will be responsible for completing the following: • Submit the (2) required documents (Parent/Guardian Release Form and Student Waiver) to confirm participation by February 12th..
• Attend a mandatory Pre-Departure Workshop on Saturday, February 23rd, or Sunday, February 24th.
• Print, sign, and submit the contract with SPACES in the event that are unable to attend the college tour, you will be responsible for paying all hotel and transportation fees associated with the trip.
• Submit a $50 deposit along with your contract when you attend a pre-departure workshop at SPACES It is recommended that you provide a check as your deposit. Deposits will not be cashed and will be returned to you if you comply with the conditions outlined in the contract. Checks should be payable to: UC Regents. Remember, failure to complete the mandatory steps listed above may result in the forfeiture of your spot!
