What is the one thing that would most help the APEN 2023 conference be an outstanding event for you?

We're thinking of offering several field trips during the afternoon of the second day of the conference (approx 3.5 hrs). What would you like to see and how can we design them so they're a valuable use of everyone's time?

We're thinking of offering some 'Solve my problem' workshops, where before the conference you can nominate a real-life problem you'd like a hand to solve. People indicate the ones they'd like answered, and we'll schedule say the top three topics. How well do you think that would work? Please add any suggestions about the process in the comments box.

While the Tailrace Centre is a beautiful conference venue, it is 4 km out of the CBD. How would you most likely travel there, as we're not sure about providing a shuttle bus.
Walk (50 minutes)
Catch a public bus (12 minute ride and 17 minute walk)
Take a taxi/ Uber (6 minute drive)
Conference shuttle bus (10 minute ride)
