Introduction

Thank you for your interest in our survey and for taking the time to thoughtfully answer each question. This survey is open until Sunday, March 1 at 11:59 PM.
This survey consists of a variety of questions about Valley Regional Transit (VRT) and the services the City of Boise is hoping to improve.

This survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

The City of Boise, VRT, and other partner agencies and organizations will use the results from this survey to continue to shape transportation priorities over the next three years.

The information in this survey will be used only for research purposes and in ways that will not reveal who you are. You will not be identified in any publication from this study unless you choose to disclose personal information.
Background and Context

The majority of the current bus routes run Monday-Friday from 6:30 am – 6:30 pm. Some routes run later during the week and on Saturdays. Currently, no buses run on Sunday. You can find more information about the bus system here: https://www.valleyregionaltransit.org/

Improving the bus service will increase the range of trips people can make using public transit. As you review each of the options below, keep in mind how the options could serve you and your community:

  • People who work outside of the typical 8 am - 5 pm, Monday-Friday workweek would be served by buses that run later in the evening/night and by adding more bus routes on Saturday and Sunday.
  • People who take the bus to work and don’t want to go straight home would benefit from buses that run later in the evening/night. Extending evening service allows people to go shopping, run errands, and attend entertainment, dining and other social engagements.
  • Adding bus service on Saturday and Sundays serves people without vehicles, serves people who don't drive, and supports people who choose to live car-free.
