Coach of the Year Nominations
The Coach of the Year Award recognises a coach, who has made a significant contribution during the year of the award, rather than over a period of time.
A long term coach can also receive a ‘Service to University Sport’ award, however, the Coach award is to recognise a significant contribution during the year of the award.
The Coaches awards are separated into elite and development categories, and is open to coaches who are either paid, receive an honorarium or volunteer. A salaried coach is not eligible.
An elite coach is defined as a coach who has responsibility for the “A Grade team”.
CRITERIA FOR THE AWARD
The award categories are open to coaches who are either paid, receive an honorarium or volunteer. However, a salaried coach is not eligible.
Only one nomination/sport will be accepted for each award category.
UNSPORTING BEHAVIOUR
The Coach of the Year Award may not be awarded to a person, who has acted in an unsporting manner to the detriment of the welfare of such person's club or to the prejudice of the dignity and honour of AU Sport or the University, and no person who has so acted shall be nominated for any such award.
NOMINATIONS FOR THE COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD
A nomination must be:
1. Completed online

NOMINATIONS FOR THE COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD
A nomination must be:
1. Completed online
2. Received by AU Sport by the due date
3. Provide suitable information for the AU Sport Board to understand the justification for the nomination
4. Letter of support from the club/person(s) making the nomination and any other supporting documentation must be attached to the survey before the closing date to be considered by the Blues Committee. This is the responsibility of the person submitting the nomination. See question 15-17 to upload any documents
5. Only in special cases will the AU Sport Board consider an incomplete nomination form.
