The Clean River Advisory Council (C-RAC) is comprised of local environmental experts and river enthusiasts who are tackling environmental and social challenges collectively. The goal of the council is to bring a unique and inclusive perspective to environmental projects that will enhance water quality, create natural infrastructure and engage the community with the river.

The Clean River Advisory Council is working on a plan to use nature-based solutions to protect our rivers, reduce flood risks, and improve parks and outdoor spaces across our cities and neighborhoods.

What are nature-based solutions?
They are ways to work with nature—like saving wetlands, planting trees, and using green spaces to help manage rainwater and keep our air and water clean. These solutions help our community deal with things like flooding and extreme weather, and they also make our neighborhoods more beautiful and fun to live in.

This short survey will take about 10–15 minutes to complete. It is a chance for you to:
- Let us know about your connection with the Mississippi River
- Share ideas about how nature can help your neighborhood
- Tell us what projects would be good for your community
- Help make sure your voice is part of the planning
- Think about how to care for and support these projects in the future
