Description of Committees;

The Communication Committee makes suggestions for the CIVSA website and looks for ways to market CIVSA to non-members.

The Conference Committee consists of sub-committees that work together to present the annual conference, including the educational program, transportation, meals, events, and related activities.

The Educational Resources Committee works to provide educational and professional development opportunities for CIVSA members.

The Involvement Committee manages volunteer interest, engagement, and opportunities.

The Member Relations Committee works to increase year-round benefits for current members.

The Nominating Committee convenes once each year to nominate members to the slate of officers, to be voted on at the annual conference.

The Regional Leadership Teams assist the Regional Director in planning and hosting Regional Events, recruiting of new members, and retention of current members.

The Regional Review Committee works to evaluate, propose, and implement updates and changes to the regional member distribution of the association. 

The Research and Assessment Committee collects research about the Visitor/Information Services world and also helps members looking to do their own research.

The Retention Committee studies retention ideas for membership and annual conference attendees.

The Standards Committee works to make all members aware of the CIVS standards and how to implement them.

The Strategic Planning Committee develops and oversees a plan to shape the future of the association.

The Student Development Institute Committee works to develop an annual conference for student employees in visitor/information services.
