CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM (CIT) TRAINING March 25-29, 2019
The Crisis Intervention Team model provides law enforcement and mental health professionals with the knowledge and skills that allow them to respond to an individual in psychiatric crisis and in a manner that minimizes the potential for injury. In addition, the CIT model is instrumental in helping to divert individuals with mental illness away from the criminal justice system and to the appropriate mental health treatment.
