Due to recent changes by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF), the online portion of this course is now housed in the Professional Development Network (PDN) Learning Management System (LMS). To access the course, you will need to create a free PDN account.

Step 1: Create a PDN Account

Creating an account before registering for the course is not required, but it is highly recommended.

After submitting your registration:
  • You will receive a confirmation email at the email address you provided.
  • Click the link in the email to activate your account.
  • Log in using the email address and password you created.
Step 2: Complete Your Learner Profile
Once you log in, you will be prompted to complete a learner profile. This profile determines which trainings you can access.

When completing your profile:
  • Use the same email address associated with your Wisconsin Registry account. If you do not have a Registry account, you can create one for free.
  • Primary Employee Type: Select "Early Care & Education Professional." This selection is required to view the Child Care Foundational Training (CCFT) courses.
  • Employer Name: Enter your employer, your child care program name, or your own first and last name if you are not currently employed by a program.
Important Information:
  • A separate registration form is required for each participant.
  • Once the form is submitted, you will be directed to the payment page.
  • Childcaring will register you in the PDN Learning Management System before the course start date.
  • You may receive a payment request from PDN, you can disregard.
