This study focuses on chemsex within the MSM community (men who have sex with men) in the Netherlands. We explore how visible chemsex is, how it is discussed, the social norms surrounding it, and how these may have changed over time, including during and after COVID.

By “normalisation,” we refer to the extent to which chemsex is perceived as normal or accepted in social and sexual contexts.

The questions address attitudes, personal experiences, social influence, stigma, and the need for support.
