Check your privilege.

When we talk about having privilege, it isn't just about white Privilege. Having/holding/embodying/displaying privilege is about the circumstances of your life that operate within a system of privilege to give you benefits/advantages (that you never asked for) over others.

When assessing and mitigating the various biases/implicit associations that we hold,  our level and/or place of privilege ought to be considered. Taking the Examine Your Privilege survey can help bring awareness to how privilege may be shaping the way that you are thinking about, working through, and responding to recent unjust events, as well as how you may or may not, do or don't, will or won't contribute to systems of oppression, marginalization, and othering.
The questions included in this survey are not exhaustive, however, asking oneself questions like the ones included here, is an important step toward revealing the areas where privilege exists in your life. It also demonstrates for the taker, the complexities of privilege and intersectionality.

This survey is a DEI industry survey. The questions cover a wide range of life experiences, including topics that may be difficult for some people to recall/confront. You may find some of the questions sensitive in nature.
