1.
World Skills Employment Centre is pleased to announce the launch of a new and exciting collaborative program: Empowering Newcomer Women to Succeed in the Canadian Labor Market. This initiative is a game changing initiative that will support up to 450 visible minority newcomer women to access opportunities for career development. Delivered in partnership with Immigrant Women Services Ottawa, this innovative, two-year program will feature interventions to support participants along their personal path to employment, including career planning and portfolio building workshops; job matching; targeted recruitment events; and a self-leadership series to motivate and inspire women to reach their goals.
One of the interventions for this initiative, is the creation of a Circle of Champions, showcasing the theme, ‘Each One, Empower One’. The Circle of Champions will match ONE Visible Minority Newcomer Woman with ONE Professional who can CHAMPION her and support her in reaching her career goals.
Your widely-recognized leadership in the business community sets you apart as an ideal CHAMPION for this initiative.
