We invite you to participate in a survey regarding business involvement in disaster management. The purpose of the survey is to identify the extent to which businesses are involved or planning to be involved in disaster management activities to support the wider community. The results of the survey will assist government organisations to enhance partnerships with the business sector to better prepare for major to catastrophic disasters and enhance resilience.

This survey is being conducted by Risk Frontiers in conjunction with the Bushfire and Natural Hazards Cooperative Research Centre and Macquarie University as part of a project involving Australian emergency management agencies. A summary of the results will be available publicly.

Participation in this survey is voluntary and you are free to withdraw at anytime.  All information will remain confidential. This project has been approved by the Macquarie University Human Research Ethics Committee (Approval No 5201926957416). The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete.

For the purposes of the research disaster management is defined as: arrangements for managing the adverse effects of a disaster, including, for example, arrangements for mitigating, preparing for, responding to and recovering from a disaster.

Risk Frontiers  will keep information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act) and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). No individual or organisation will be identified in any published results. Data collected will be utilised for the purposes of this research project only.
