Purpose of Survey:
This survey aims to gather feedback from parents/guardians, staff, and community members about their preferences and general views regarding the communications methods of the Chambersburg Area School District. The survey is part of a professional research project conducted by Brian Miller, a graduate student from Shippensburg University. The findings will contribute to academic research on effective communication practices in educational settings, and will provide data in the development of a strategic communications plan for the district.
Procedures:
If you choose to participate, you will answer questions about the Chambersburg Area School District's mass messaging system, website, and social media channels. The survey will include both multiple-choice and open-ended questions, allowing respondents to provide detailed feedback.
Potential Risks or Discomforts to Participants:
There are no known risks or discomforts associated with this survey.
Potential Benefits to Participants:
Your input will help shape the Chambersburg Area School Districts strategic communications plan, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the district's communication channels.
Duration/time Requirement for Participants:
The survey is estimated to take participants 10-15 minutes to complete.
Confidentiality and Anonymity Provided to Participants
: All responses are confidential and anonymous. Results will be reported in aggregate, and individual text responses will not be included among demographic data. Hard copies of results will not be kept; electronic data files will be retained on Surveymonkey servers, accessible only by Chambersburg Area School District staff members via password-protected accounts. The Surveymonkey account with the electronic data will only be accessed by CASD staff members Brian Miller, Christopher Bigger, and Beverly Lang. Computers used to access and/or store data are password protected and have an automatic log-out feature after being idle for more than five minutes. Data files will not be shared during the publication or presentation of results, and IP addresses will not be collected by surveyors.
