Capstone Expo 2020 Judges RSVP |
You are invited to join our judging panel for capstone expo 2020
Capstone EXPO
April 29 &30, 2020
Here is how the virtual capstone expo works…
As we moved to a virtual capstone expo so we will split the evaluation to an offline part (recorded presentations) and online Q&A/ interview.
For the offline part you will have recorded presentations (videos) available starting April 22.
For the real-time interview we split the 70 projects that we have this year into 7 sessions. These sessions will be held on Wednesday and Thursday 29 & 30 of April. Each is 80 minutes long.
In each session, 10 teams will be available to be interviewed by judges on their own personal WebEx (similar to ‘standing next to their poster’ in a virtual way). We will share the links to all WebEx held during each session. You can join different WebEx rooms at any time during a 80 minutes time window and in any order.
Judges can choose specific sessions that work for them based on their schedule. We ask judges to commit to 2 sessions but if this does not work, one is fine. We assume that judges cannot do more than 5 interviews in a 80 minutes session so we allocate each judge 5 projects out of the 10 per session.
For example, if you can do session 2 and session 4 we will choose 5 projects out of each of these (for a total of 10 projects):
Session 2: Wednesday April 29, 2020 @ 01:40 PM - 03:00 PM: projects participating S20- 02, 09, 16, 23, 30, 37, 44, 51, 58, 65
Session 4: Wednesday April 29, 2020 @ 05:00 PM - 06:20 PM: projects participating S20- 04, 11, 18, 25, 32, 39, 46, 53, 60, 67
If you can judge during three sessions we will allocate 4 projects per session for a total of 12 projects.
If you have specific projects that you want to judge in these sessions, please let us know. The choice of sessions determines the projects available for you to judge. Please make sure to choose only from the projects who participate in the sessions you chose.
