Cancer Screening Best Practices Across Europe

The European Cancer Organisation has launched 'Time to Accelerate: for Cancer Screening', a campaign to tackle the inequalities and gaps in cancer screening across Europe.

This campaign brings together leading national oncology experts and organisations representing the six tumour types included in the EU screening recommendations (breast, colorectal, cervical, lung, prostate, gastric) to design a comprehensive survey on cancer screening policies. The insights collected through this survey will enable best practices in cancer screening to be better documented and promoted.

For this exercise, we consider best practices to be defined as approaches and protocols considered most up-to-date and effective for cancer screening, with the aim of optimising patient outcomes.

This following survey aims to collect narratives of healthcare professionals involved in cancer screening, which reflect how the current practice of performing these screenings can be improved, made more inclusive, effective, and efficient. These powerful narratives are essential to understand the challenges that cancer care providers face every day.

This joint survey has been prepared by the European Cancer Organisation together with our partners participating in Workstream 2 of the 'Time to Accelerate: for Cancer Screening' campaign:
