NYC DOT is proposing a comprehensive redesign of Canal Street in Manhattan. The redesign would make the corridor safer for all road users by enhancing pedestrian safety, expanding the bicycle network, creating open space, and calming traffic.

The redesign proposal was developed using traffic safety data, vehicle, cyclist, and pedestrian volume counts, and previous community outreach. More details on this data, outreach, and project goals can be found in the design proposal document linked above.

The design proposal is split up into 5 different sections of the Canal Street corridor - please complete the questions below to provide feedback for any of the sections.
