The Bruce Stowell Work Exchange Scholarship was established to recognise the value of relationship building and knowledge sharing in the kiwifruit community around the world. It also honours the life and work of Bruce Stowell who was involved with the pioneering growers of the Hort16A variety in Italy and passed away in 2002.

Zespri is calling for applicants interested in being involved in this work exchange programme. An offshore-based applicant will be invited to come to New Zealand for up to 90 days. A New Zealand-based applicant will then reciprocate as part of an offshore growing industry. The two participants will work together to achieve similar goals. The mutual focus of the participants (on orchard, post harvest or science based) will help determine the successful applicants and the timeframe of the exchange.

The scholarship is not a directly funded initiative; it is a facilitated exchange of two successful applicants under the guidance of Zespri. Zespri will provide flights, some ground transfers and an induction process; however all other expenses associated with the scholarship will be the responsibility of the applicants and/or their respective employers.

Please refer to the guidelines and rules before submitting your application.
