The City of Boston is committed to making Boston a vibrant and healthy city that benefits all its citizens.

Program
Boston Bikes is excited to present our eighth annual Bike Friendly Business Awards. The awards recognize Boston-based businesses and educational institutions for taking steps to be more bike friendly. The actions of these individual businesses help to improve the climate for cycling across Boston.

This year we've changed some things. The scoring is a little different; we've added new categories; and there's even a new "Chocolate" award level. Throughout the application new items are highlighted in yellow-green.

Awards
Bronze: 10 - 17 points
Silver: 18 - 22 points
Gold: 23 - 27 points
Chocolate*: 28 points or more
*Some might call this platinum, we think chocolate is more valuable.

We also have a special award for “Most Bike Friendly Business”– the organization that demonstrates the most bike friendly practices or the most improvement over previous applications will win this award. This award is open to all non-bike industry applicants.

Ceremony
Mayor Walsh will honor all of the award winning businesses at a ceremony this spring. Details will be sent after applications are reviewed.

The application deadline is 11:59 pm on March 31, 2015.

Hint: Before you begin! You can preview the application and take a pre-assessment to see which award you may be eligible for by visiting: http://www.bostonbikes.org/resources/bikes-and-business/application/.
