You are invited to complete a short screening survey to see if you are eligible to take part in a research study exploring how body image and related experiences are understood for individuals with higher weight. We are interested in hearing from people with lived experience and clinicians who work with this population.
This survey is the first step. It helps us:
- Check whether you meet the eligibility criteria for the study.
- Collect basic background and demographic information (e.g., age, role).
- Record your contact details so we can invite you to an interview if you are eligible and interested.
The survey will take about 5 minutes. You will be asked questions about:
- Your role (lived experience, clinician, or researcher).
- Basic demographic information (e.g., age group, gender).
- For clinicians/researchers: your professional background and experience.
- For people with lived experience: your comfort with participating.
Confidentiality
Your answers will only be seen by the research team.
Data from this survey will be stored securely and kept separate from your name and contact details.
If you are invited to participate in an interview, your identity will be de-identified in all transcripts and publications.
Participation is voluntary, you may stop at any time, and you may choose not to go on to the interview even if you are eligible.
What happens next?
If you are eligible, the research team will contact you by email to provide the full Participant Information and Consent Form (PICF) and invite you to an interview. If you are not eligible, your data will not be stored.
