Birth Control and Blood Clots Study Phase 2: Introduction

5% of survey complete.
Lucine Health Sciences via Hormones Matter is conducting research on the risks for blood clots when using hormonal contraceptives. Blood clots are a serious complication of hormonal contraceptive use and can be disabling or even fatal. The results from this study will be used to help inform women about their personal level of risk, and factors affecting it, when using hormonal contraceptives.

As part of this study, women who are currently using hormonal contraceptives, but who have NOT had a blood clot, are invited to participate in this survey. Hormonal contraception includes birth control pills, patches and vaginal rings, as well as Depo-Provera injections and implants. This phase of the research involves completing an anonymous online survey.
