Important Tree Register - WA Perth & Peel |
Many trees in WA's Perth & Peel area provide a significant resource for our threatened black-cockatoos. These include feed trees, roost trees and trees with nest hollows. BirdLife WA is creating a register of these trees and we need your help to do it.
Do you often see black-cockatoos fastidiously feeding on particular trees in your suburb? Have you seen a pair of black-cockatoos climbing in and out of a tree hollow, or a male making daily visits to a tree? Or perhaps you’ve seen or heard black-cockatoos coming in to roost for the night in a certain set of trees near you.
If so, we want to hear from you!
Register details about your important tree for black-cockatoos in the form below & help to preserve important habitat for black-cockatoos into the future. The information collected through this project will be used by BirdLife Australia and local councils to protect habitat and inform land management decisions.
