Your Participation Is Important

On behalf of the Connecticut Health & Life Sciences Career Initiative, Jackson Labs, Southern Connecticut State University's Bioscience Academic & Career Pathway (Bio-Path), and Connecticut Works, we would like to thank you for your participation in this important survey. The information that you provide will help us build programs that strengthen the workforce in a way that addresses the needs of Connecticut’s bioscience sector specifically.

We are also very pleased to highlight two key initiatives that made this survey possible and will provide direct support to our industry partners based upon the results.  The Bioscience Academic & Career Pathway (Bio-Path) was developed through a collaborative partnership between Southern Connecticut State University and the City of New Haven to create and strengthen educational pathways for students planning a career in the exciting field of bioscience. The CT Health and Life Sciences Career Initiative (HL-SCI) is a $12 million Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant funded through the US Department of Labor that is supporting Associate degree and certificate programs at community colleges to help meet the needs of employers.

By joining forces, Bio-Path and HL-SCI bring significant resources to bear in meeting the workforce needs in this area and will help to sustain Connecticut as a leader in bioscience by delivering specialized education, applied research, professional development training, and promotional events in order to generate a pipeline of highly skilled and well educated employees.

Again, thank you for your participation!
