BEquinox Effigy 2017 |
So, you wanna build the 2017 BEquinox effigy??? The Theme is "The Shape of Things to Come".
Consider your presence at Blissmas on December 4th as the due date. You just need to bring a model... plan... photos... whatever... so that the community can see your vision and vote on which piece will be built\displayed and burnt to the ground on March 18th, 2017. Please complete all the information below.
You must also send a budget for your project to toplessdeb@gmail.com before we can consider your application complete. This budget should include all costs. Transpo, material costs, rentals, etc. Do not list contingency costs, artists fees or labor as these types of costs are not covered. Bear in mind that there will be two accountants reviewing your budget... so, make sure that your budget is as complete as possible.
LALA will provide $4,000 to build the effigy... you did need to turn in receipts so that we don't have to 1099 you for these costs. If there is a cost over-run, you will be responsible to cover these costs.
Expectations...
You get to build something that will fit inside a 20 x 20 x 20 foot space.
You provide the build team and location
We will provide mentors and assist you with recruitment if needed.
And the biggest thing... remember... this is a community piece... yea, you get to do lots of the hard work. But at the end of the day, it is super important to include the community. Let go a bit... let others participate.
